I am so happy that you are here! My name is Maartje van Dokkum, but my artists name is Mary Feywood: a name that really fits my work.
Growing up as an artist's daughter on the Veluwe, I have felt an endless love for art and nature from an early age.
After two studies at art school and art academy, I returned to the forest, because there is nowhere where my creative inspiration flows as much as between the trees.
Made on the Veluwe
The forest of the Veluwe, however small it may appear on any world map, is a place of stories. Folk tales were passed down through generations: about mist women, tree dancers, and elves.
This became the place where the roots of my drawings and paintings took hold, infused with this ancient magic.
