A painting inspired by one of my favorite folk tales from the Netherlands, the white ladies ("witte wieven"). Ladies in white, ghosts, burial mound guardians, witches or women of mist.

Het witte wief by Mary Feywood is created with love and a touch of forest magic, with reference for womenhood, folklore and nature.
