Inspired by 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘜𝘯𝘪𝘤𝘰𝘳𝘯 𝘛𝘢𝘱𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘴, a series of seven tapestries made around 1500, I wanted to bring my own unicorn to life. In the tapestries, the unicorn is hunted and captured, brought back to the castle and chained to a tree in a garden.

I wanted to show the unicorn being free, home in the forest. Free like every animal should be.

Unicorn by Mary Feywood is created with love and a touch of forest magic, with reference for folklore and nature.
